I'm Rachel Johnson. Owner of Aine Cockers, Formally Johnsons' Cockers. I changed my name after I found the word "Aine" (Awn-Yea) online. Aine
in Old Irish means "Intelligent, graceful, charming, witty, radiant and joyful". Which in my opinion, is everything a Cocker is, so it was the perfect name
for me. I live with my hubby and our 2 wonderful daughters Amber and Alexis in the beautiful Northeast, PA.

My love for the breed has drawn an unbelievable spirit from within of which I'll explain in my story below.

My husband and I went looking to add a dog to our family and after much consideration and research we ultimately decided on Cockers. At that time
we only had a little two bedroom apt. So the baby had to be on the small side but not a purse dog, must be a versatile dog, athletic, good with kids
and Merry, etc. Anyhow, after knowing which breed, we then started with interviewing breeders. Luckily enough, it was a short process as we came
across a Wonderful breeder almost immediately. There came Lucky, my first cocker. When we first got Lucky, we had no intentions on doing
anything other than having a family pet. So, Lucky was neutered. After which My husband saw a Blk/Tan cocker on TV. Well, next thing you know, we
got Reese(blk/tan). Shortly before getting Reese, I had a serious accident at work where I feel off the back of a truck and virtually destroyed my right
arm. So, I was home bound at that point and very sad. I loved my job I think more than life itself. Well, I fell into a horrible depression. The only thing
that helped me get out of bed in the morning were my Cockers and I mean that literally as Lucky would jump on the bed and lick my face (or drop a
ball on my head) until I got up. One day my friend came over and she said "Reese is so pretty, You should show him". Well, it then dawned on me
that maybe I should get involved in some other form of Cocker related things, maybe it'll help me. So, I started diligently researching Conformation,
Health and Agility. I contacted Reese's Breeder and let her know of my new intentions, she was fine with it. Then, I contacted Lucky's breeder, who I
knew showed Cockers, and she took me under her wing. Well, it's been all up hill since then!

I am unable to ever go back to work as a lineman. Instead I work part-time on the Winter Maintenance Division for the State. This way I have
summers off to spend time with my babies and go to shows. It's just perfect!

I, to this day, thank my Lucky stars for my babies. I don't know where I'd be without them. They saved my life...
